Yvonne de Souza

Yvonne de Souza is the Client Partner for Africa Facebook, where she leads the relationships with the top marketers and agencies within the FMCG Industry across Africa.
Prior to joining Facebook, Yvonne was the Head of Digital and Media at  GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (GSK) in Africa where she led the digital transformation by driving digital’s share of the marketing mix, launching the GSK Marketing Academy to drive capability and finally entrenching a mobile first mindset within the organization.
Yvonne is passionate about Africa, it’s people and it’s development and is energized that in her role at Facebook, she works with some of the world’s most recognized brands to lead transformation and build social value in Africa.
Yvonne has a very diverse educational background having studied digital marketing from the Digital Marketing Institute (Ireland), business administration from Stellenboash Business School (South Africa) and animal science from the University of Zimbabwe.
She lives in Johannesburg South Africa with her husband Gerard, loves music from the baroque era and immersing herself into different cultures.
