Francis Ally Mlacha

As a child I always wanted to be a butcher. He seemed to get all the attention in the market, but as stories go the twist was in how ended up as a creative. I am a Creative Director at BBDO Mediaedge, where I have worked since 2011. Before that I had stints at DDB and Nuturn Bates where I cut my teeth developing work for some of Kenya’s most iconic brands such as KTB and Mumias Sugar. I now oversee creative work for both global and local brands within the BBDO portfolio.

During my time at BBDO Mediaedge, I have been instrumental in pitch wins and have contributed in shaping the agency as one with strong creative credentials. Along the way I have also helped birth a number of campaigns that have picked both local and international accolades such as the APA, MSK and INMA awards.

As a trained and practicing sculptor I strongly believe in the transformative power of the arts in shaping human experiences and perceptions.
